Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survivor Poetry Project for The Laurel Center in Winchester, VA

The Laurel Center logo

I reached out to The Laurel Center, a local Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault shelter that I have volunteered at since 2015, to propose this poetry project. I crowdsourced poetry from other survivors to compile a book of poetry. This gave survivors a platform to share part of their story and a portion of the annual net proceeds were given in donation to The Laurel Center in order to assist victims on their path to becoming survivors.

I designed the project branding and promotional materials for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

As a driven individual, with a passion for the arts and an avid appreciation for all things typography & print/web design related, I thrive in a bustling, collaborative, and creative environment. As a designer, I approach each project with the mindset to follow through from the initial sketch to the final product. As an artist, with a constant strive for perfection, I believe that the basis for a successful piece lies within the minute details.
